Fans are excited to see what Beyoncé has in store for her "Run the World (Girls)" video, but it seems they're going to have to wait a little bit longer. An announcement confirms that the premiere has been delayed, with no information on when B plans on dropping the video.

"OK, bad news: 'Run the World (Girls)' won't be out on Friday like we thought. No new date yet. Beyoncé is perfecting it," a statement from Vevo.com reads, Aceshowbiz.com reports. "We're disappointed too but wanted to let you know as soon as we knew. We'll [put] it up as soon as we do get it!"

A rep for the site had not responded to MTV News' request for comment by press time, and a search on the site for the video comes up empty.

The Francis Lawrence-directed video remains in limbo, but teasers leading up to its release have given fans a taste of the super-fashionable, post-apocalyptic world that Beyoncé and her supermodel minions inhabit in the video. Donning couture by Givenchy and Norma Kamali, Queen B looks stylish while fending off an opposing army.

The song is the lead single off Beyoncé's forthcoming album, 4. She recently spoke to Billboard.com about the track, which hasn't sparked much interest on the charts (it has yet to climb into the top 10). "It's definitely riskier than something a bit more ... simple," she said. "I just heard the track and loved that it was so different. It felt a bit African, a bit electronic and futuristic. It reminded me of what I love, which is mixing different cultures and eras — things that typically don't go together — to create a new sound.

"I can never be safe; I always try and go against the grain. As soon as I accomplish one thing, I just set a higher goal," she continued. "That's how I've gotten to where I am."
