Cannon took to Twitter to post a photo of himself in the hospital, getting his hair cut. He tweeted simply, "getting back to business." He later took to the social networking site to promote some of his pals who were DJing in Los Angeles.
One of Cannon's DJ friends spoke to People.com about his condition. "I was beyond shocked when I learned Nick had a kidney issue," DJ Irie said. "Of all the people, he is healthy beyond belief. He does not drink, he eats healthy and he works out regularly." The cause of Cannon's kidney failure is still unknown, and his friend reiterated just how well he takes care of himself. "Nick practices all of these healthy habits every day of his life," he said. "But he is rational and smart and taking care of it by being in the hospital, where he belongs now."
Cannon was transferred to an L.A.-area facility after initially being hospitalized in Aspen, where he was vacationing with his wife, Mariah Carey, and their twins, Moroccan and Monroe. "As always, he's in good spirits considering the situation," Carey said about her hubby, noting that he was "in a lot of pain" and that "the situation is not easy. We really appreciate everybody's love and support."Related Artists
